Easter Activities

ABOVE: The 2 weeks of activities at the sports centre will start at 11am each day and finish at 3pm. More information is available from Ystalyfera Development Trust.

BELOW: The Easter event and Great Egg Smash Challenge will be held at Ystalyfera Development Trust. All children to be accompanied by an adult. Teams wanting to enter the Egg Smash Challenge should collect a copy of the rules and register their team with us at the Trust.

New for 2008

We have 2 new courses starting in January:

Drawing and Sketching - A 10 week evening course teaching you the basics. Starts Monday 14th January from 6.30pm to 8.30pm.

Working with digital images - A 10 week evening course helping you use a computer to get the best from your digital pictures, whether they are from your digital camera or scanned images. Starts Wednesday 30th January 6.30pm to 8.30pm

Also don't forget that Shirley our resident tutor is always at hand to help you develop your computer skills and totally free of charge. No matter whether you are a complete beginner or looking for something more challenging, come and see her.

We also have the possibility of running a free course in Astronomy. (not Astrology which is star signs though this is often confused). If you're interested then please let us know.

Its that time of year again when we need to start telling 'the powers that be' what courses and activities you'd like to have here at the trust.

If there there is anything you've ever wanted to learn how to do, or know....whatever, make sure you click on the comments link with this post and tell us what you'd like. No matter if you think we could never do it, you might be surprised. My job is to make sure the people who make the decisions about courses on offer know what you've asked for! I cannot overstate how important this is. The courses which run here at the trust from Sept 2008 will be as a direct result of what the community tells us they want. Therefore,

Welsh for Beginners

We are trying to start up a night class for Welsh. Its aimed at beginners so just come along on Wednesday nights to the Development Trust or call us for more details. Runs from 6.30pm to 8.30pm.
